¿Qué es la Biofísica?

     La biofísica es el campo del conocimiento que utiliza los principios de la física y la química, así como los métodos del análisis matemático y de la modelación por computadora, para comprender cómo funcionan los mecanismos de los sistemas biológicos.
La biofísica es una ciencia molecular e intenta explicar las funciones biológicas en términos de estructuras moleculares y de las propiedades de moléculas específicas. El tamaño de estas moléculas varía dramáticamente, desde pequeños ácidos grasos y azúcares (~1 nm = 10-9 m), hasta moléculas como proteínas (5-10 nm), almidones (>1000 nm) y las enormemente alargadas moléculas de ADN (cuya longitud es mayor que10,000,000 nm = 1 cm, pero cuyo ancho es de sólo 20 nm, ¡proporciones semejantes a las de un resorte de 72 kilómetros de longitud!).

     Estas moléculas son las unidades con las que se construyen los organismos vivos y se ensamblan para formar las células, los tejidos y organismos enteros; así, forman estructuras complejas de dimensiones del orden de 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 nm e incluso más grandes. Por ejemplo, las proteínas de la leche se ensamblan para formar micelas de caseína, las cuales a su vez se agregan para formar el suero del queso; proteínas y ácidos ribonucleicos se ensamblan para formar los ribosomas, los organelos que fabrican proteínas en el interior de las células; lípidos y proteínas se ensamblan para formar las membranas celulares, que constituyen las barreras externas y las superficies internas de las células; proteínas y ADN se enrollan para formar cromosomas, los portadores del código genético; y así sucesivamente.

     Por estas razones, muchos esfuerzos en biofísica se dirigen a determinar la estructura de moléculas biológicas específicas, así como la de los agregados más grandes que ellas forman. Parte de estos esfuerzos requieren inventar nuevos métodos o construir nuevos instrumentos para visualizar estas estructuras. Muchos de los nuevos desarrollos de la microscopía biológica forman parte de estos esfuerzos.

        La biofísica entiende y deduce el funcionamiento de los organismos vivos, tanto en lo que llamamos salud, así como en lo que conocemos como enfermedad., basándose en los fenómenos físicos tales como temperatura, presión, volumen, fototropía, electromagnetismo, etc., estos actúan en todos los eventos fisiológicos que ejecuta un organismo vivo. La piedra angular de este tipo de medicina, es observar a la naturaleza, pues los eventos físicos, químicos, biológicos, etc. que observamos en esta, también se reproducen en un organismo vivo como el cuerpo humano.
        Esta nueva perspectiva ha marcado un hito en la historia de la medicina pues por fin algunos médicos se han dado cuenta que el organismo es sistémico, metabólico y compensatorio, que a la naturaleza no la debemos modificar ni tampoco le podemos enseñar, sino al contrario tenemos muchísimo que aprender de ella. Al tener este conocimiento, el médico biofísico no suprime los signos y los síntomas que el organismo genera para defenderse de una enfermedad, sino al contrario analiza y deduce que para que se den estos signos y síntomas es porque ha habido cambios en la presión, volumen, temperatura, pH y campo magnético del órgano o tejido afectado, y de esta misma manera el médico biofísico cambiando los factores antes mencionados ayuda a su paciente a recobrar la salud.

       No olvidemos que el ser humano es un todo integral, y que las emociones juegan un papel crucial para el desarrollo de las enfermedades. Por eso todas las emociones que conocemos como “buenas o malas” (alegría, miedo, coraje, depresión, resentimientos, etc.) provocan la producción de neurotransmisores químicos como la adrenalina y la noradrenalina, las cuales a través del sistema nervioso central, modifican el flujo eléctrico alterando las funciones que éste acciona o desencadena en un grupo celular determinado, de ahí la importancia y la relación que guardan las emociones como detonantes de alteraciones fisiológicas (enfermedades).

"Importancia de la Bioquímica en Medicina"
Para poder comprender cuál es la importancia de la Bioquímica en la Medicina, antes debemos de saber que la Bioquímica es la ciencia que estudia los seres vivos mediante procedimientos químicos, físicos y biológicos, es decir que comprende la base molecular de los procesos químicos que tiene lugar en los seres vivos, y en especial, en los seres humanos.
Para conocer estos procesos es necesario conocer la composición química del organismo, así como sus transformaciones y los principios que los controlan.
Todas las enfermedades poseen un componente molecular, a excepción de las traumáticas , lo que hace que los métodos de diagnóstico y terapéutico en Medicina sufran un cambio, asentándose las bases de una patología molecular.
La Bioquímica constituye la vía para el entendimiento de estados patológicos y la base de aplicación de una terapia eficaz (desde la modificación del pH en fluidos hasta enfermedades tales del tipo hereditarias, somáticas, de etiología exógena y neurológicas).
Gracias a este gran aporte por parte de la Bioquímica, la medicina ha podido tener un entendimiento completo sobre algunas enfermedades, e incluso prevenir
 algunos defectos como malformaciones en el feto, dar quimioterapias, detectar bacterias y virus, y aplicar terapia génica, solo por mencionar algunas.

"¿Qué es la Web 2.0?"

La Web 2.0 es la representación de la evolución de las aplicaciones tradicionales hacia aplicaciones web enfocadas al usuario final. El Web 2.0 es una actitud y no precisamente una tecnología .
La Web 2.0 es la transición que se ha dado de aplicaciones tradicionales hacia aplicaciones que funcionan a través del web enfocadas al usuario final. Se trata de aplicaciones que generen colaboración y de servicios que reemplacen las aplicaciones de escritorio.
Es una etapa que ha definido nuevos proyectos en Internet y está preocupándose por brindar mejores soluciones para el usuario final. Muchos aseguran que hemos reinventado lo que era el Internet, otros hablan de burbujas e inversiones, pero la realidad es que la evolución natural del medio realmente ha propuesto cosas más interesantes como lo analizamos diariamente en las notas de Actualidad.

Y es que cuando el web inició, nos encontrábamos en un entorno estático, con páginas en HTML que sufrían pocas actualizaciones y no tenían interacción con el usuario.

"El término Web 2.0"
Pero para entender de donde viene el término de Web 2.0 tenemos que remontarnos al momento en que Dale Dougherty de O’Reilly Media utilizó este término en una conferencia en la que compartió una lluvia de ideas junto a Craig Cline de MediaLive. En dicho evento se hablaba del renacimiento y evolución de la web.

Constantemente estaban surgiendo nuevas aplicaciones y sitios con sorprendentes funcionalidades. Y así se dio la pauta para la Web 2.0 conferencia que arranca en el 2004 y hoy en día se realiza anualmente en San Francisco, con eventos adicionales utilizando la marca en otros países.
En la charla inicial del Web Conference se habló de los principios que tenían las aplicaciones Web 2.0:
*La web es la plataforma
*La información es lo que mueve al Internet
*Efectos de la red movidos por una arquitectura de participación.
*La innovación surge de características distribuidas por desarrolladores independientes.
*El fin del círculo de adopción de software pues tenemos servicios en beta perpetuo
